Durante este período, los empleadores interesados deberán registrar electrónicamente a cada beneficiario a través de una cuenta en línea y abonar la tarifa de registro correspondiente. Las notificaciones de selección se enviarán antes del 31 de marzo de 2026 mediante las cuentas oficiales de los peticionarios y sus representantes.

Como novedad destacada, el Departamento de Seguridad Nacional ha introducido un nuevo sistema de selección ponderada, que priorizará a los candidatos con mayor cualificación profesional y niveles salariales más altos. Esta medida busca reforzar la protección de los salarios, las condiciones laborales y las oportunidades de los trabajadores en Estados Unidos.

Asimismo, tras la proclamación emitida en septiembre de 2025 por Donald Trump, algunas peticiones que resulten seleccionadas podrían estar sujetas al pago de una tarifa adicional significativa como condición previa a la presentación formal de la solicitud H-1B.
