Spain’s Large Companies and Strategic Groups Unit (UGE-CE) has published a new Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) document, available in both Spanish and English, clarifying some of the key aspects of the residence permit for international remote workers.
The FAQs cover the types of activities that qualify under this residence permit, the Social Security requirements for both employees and self-employed individuals, the compatibility of this permit with other residence authorisations, the conditions for providing services to Spanish companies, as well as the financial and family requirements and the application procedure.
These clarifications provide a valuable point of reference for international companies, HR departments and professionals managing international mobility processes to Spain.
