The Paraguayan government has repealed the decree that allowed Venezuelan citizens to enter the country without a visa. As of January 10, 2026, Venezuelan nationals will be required to obtain a visa to travel to Paraguay.

The measure aims to strengthen national security and ensure that visitors have verified background information and sufficient financial means. In addition, authorities seek to prevent the infiltration of individuals linked to the Venezuelan regime posing as ordinary citizens.
